We at Pro-Maker, positive youth developer's, are seeking assistance from your youth minister, youth director, youth mentors, youth sport coaching staff and available access to your sports facilities. As time is of the essence, we also are in dire need of interim bible teachers and class rooms for two to four hours per week of bible study for youth and parents, or caregivers. This hands on out reach ministry assistance will be of great benefit by extending hope and guidance for our at risk youth of today. Our primary goal is to direct them into positive life styles whereby they will ultimately have the opportunity to mature into the healthy and successful adults that all children of God are truly intended to become.
We are convinced that these cooperative local opportunities for our disadvantaged youth will ultimately serve many others outside of the communities in which they live. Therefore, we are asking all of God's workers to assist our efforts to provide a Godly, positive, and safe setting for our disadvantaged youth which incorporate the following:
A physical and psychological refuge of learning and security
Structures which are developmentally sound with clear expectations of increasing opportunities to make wise decisions, and to take on leadership roles in society. Emotional, physical, and moral support.
Opportunities to experience supportive and healthy adult relationships.
Opportunities to attain advanced skills and master building.
Opportunities to feel a true sense of belonging and being valued.
Opportunities to develop positive social values and morals.
Opportunities to develop confidence in abilities to master their environment.
Opportunities to make contributions to their community and to develop a sense of maturity and security.
Strengthen links between family, caregivers, school, and broaden community resources and opportunities.
Pro-Maker believes that when schools and the government fall short there is a window of opportunity, and an obligation, for churches to assist all youth at risk and youth as a whole. When even many of the wealthiest, most privileged youth in our nation cannot indulge in pick up sports, there is an opportunity for churches to step into the gap because they provide the safest places to play and interact. There are many citizens and the media, as well, who have repeatedly recommended that the schools take responsibility to fulfill this critical need for all youth in their communities.
We, at Pro-Maker, question why we should leave this important and overwhelming mission entirely up to historically cash strapped school systems alone? Churches immediately come to mind. We believe that the churches are even better equipped, in many ways, to meet these needs. For example churches can legally and more directly solicit and receive private funding and donations to meet these goals. This can quickly open increased possibilities to expand local church participation, growth, and community interaction, as well.
Pro-Maker's vision is to equip churches throughout the United States to utilize sports and recreation activities in order to reach communities and our youth at risk. One of the most effective ways to reach the youth at risk, and communities at large, for introduction to their local churches is through sports and recreation.
In today's culture, a large emphasis is focused on sports, especially youth sports. Unfortunately, these activities have often been corrupted by a culture which emphasizes winning at all cost. Pro-Maker's plan creates stress free environs for the youth of today as many parents and local leaders are seeking positive alternatives for healthy activity.
Churches that develop such programs have discovered that they are fully endorsed by their communities which provides the frame work for developing long term successful relationships.
Unfortunately, many churches do not have the expertise or resources available to develop these long term programs. As a willing and able partner, Pro-Maker stands ready to step up to assist in developing these specialized outreach plans for their churches, youth at risk, families and communities at large.
Our mission is to partner with 500 churches within the next three years. We at Pro-Maker, desire to interact with those that God may direct to our path and equip them with the necessary tools to fulfill our plan of action in each community. We at Pro-Maker trust that God will not only bless the efforts of these churches, but will also generate a ground swell of communities to rise up and co-create the next generation of sports ministry.
